Aggravating. The central motivation the character was "I was raised as a girl and dress like a girl, but I am, in fact, a boy." Which is a trans thing... but not in this direction.

And because it's extremely rude to refer to a trans person by their assigned gender at birth, it's not just about using new tags for the character after that, it's expected we ditch the last twenty years of this character being every dude's not-gay-but crush.

If Arc wanted a hip new trans character, it would have been better to throw a dart at their character-select menu, and then have Bridget vocally congratulate them for coming out. This is a character hyper-aware of their own gender. They know what living a girl would be like because that was thrust upon them. And one line in one game means... nevermind. Doesn't count.

As if they suffered gender dysphoria from being raised as the gender that feels right and natural.
