Assigned female at birth, aggressively fighting to be gendered male, and serving as a crystal-clear distinction between gender identity and gender performance apparently wasn't queer enough for all of y'all starting shit under random booru posts. Like the people who've spent decades tagging a crossdressing twink were insufficiently prejudiced for saying boys can wear dresses.

This character literally defines traps. Bridget is where the term comes from. Bridget is why even chan-board incels know "traps aren't gay." That gender-studies nuance is hard enough to teach normal people, and those terminally-online edgelords get it.

This character is the ur-example of a boy dressing like a girl and acting like a girl but still being a boy, despite damn near everyone misgendering them. There wasn't even plausible competition until Astolfo. All that's changed is a writer deciding the first twenty years pushing against being called female... don't count. Like the character's repeated explicit textual rejection of exactly what you are claiming was all one big 'whoops, nevermind.'

Trans women are women, and calling this character one of them is frustrating nonsense.
