This picture has more impact if you take the original pokemon game's story as canon: the scientist from Cinnabar island caught a a female Mew and impregnated it with a genetically modified embryo and later she gave birth to Mewtwo. After an undetermined amount of time, Mewtwo broke out of the lab.

I want to see an alternative story where Mewtwo is created but then, rather than being set in a lab, is released spontaneously through some accident and gets found/adopted. The surrogate family treats it like a sister or brother but then years later after growing up-- Mewtwo discovers the original creators.
