Interesting fact: women getting "turned on" and even orgasming during rape is well documented. The current leading theory is that being turned on allows lubrication which can minimize physical damage, even if the brain doesn't want it. Additionally, orgasming is believed to be the brain/body's way of minimizing mental damage. The issue is, a lot like swelling an injured joint, it can cause more damage that it helps, especially when victims feel betrayed by their own body.
