And yet, the FFVII game does state that Tifa is an escort girl of the Honeybee Inn. She's a whore? Actually, neither Tifa nor Aerith were actual love interests for Cloud. Though I think there is a way to get the ending to appear as if Cloud and Tifa get together?

She was only an 'escort' girl in a cut area of the Honeybee inn segment that never made it into the game and only fractions of it remain in the original Japanese print of the game.

The final game she's taken to Don Corneo's place straight away.

As well, after the events of the game and in further supplemental material, Cloud and Tifa are together. At least until a bit before Advent Children when Cloud contracts Geostigma.
