Why does everyone think Goku is always fighting people? Maybe they're sparing? I think if Goku would see someone like Luffy or Naruto and he'd be willing to train them. Either that or they're fight too see who's going too bang Sakura!

*sigh* Really? Really now? We're seriously going to entertain this kind of match-up? No offense to Luffy, he's a great fighter, but this wouldn't even be fair. Goku would spend the whole time just playing with Luffy unless he was ticked off or led to believe Luffy was bad and then he'd just KO him instantly. Even assuming Luffy could take Goku's punches (which I would only be able to believe up to a certain power level. SSJ and up, no.), he wouldn't be immune to Ki blasts.

I highly doubt Luffy could actually be able to hurt Goku who, might I remind you, can withstand gunfire without being hurt (mind you, bullets haven't even been able to hit him since he was a kid) and can stop bladed weapons with just his finger. I could go on about the kind of hits Goku can take without even being slowed down, but then this comment is already getting long.

In short, looks cool, unless you know half of anything about either characters. In which case, it's just stupid.

Well, not in certain cases. I think I remember reading somewhere that gear second Luffy and Goku at the end of the Frieza saga were almost exactly as strong as the other. So it all depends on WHEN the fight is.
