Had Kamina lived, do you honestly believe Simon'd be the Chef Commander and Kamina a regular official? Or that Kamina would even wear this pj's? And one more- how would they find Nia?

I read a fic once. After the battle with Thymiliph, Kamina was hanging on by a thread. They were able to save him with Dai-Gunzan's advanced medical facilities, but he went into a coma. Simon felt guilty because it's his fault Kamina nearly died and he might never wake up, so he goes into his depression anyway.
