I think a better way of thinking of it is how she says it in the show: Rosa looks for love, but no one wants a woman with a child. Hence, Maria is an obstacle to her finding love. And yandere don't take kindly to obstacles...

Nanoha more did that to teach those two a lesson for being reckless and not playing by standard combat rules.

The scene before that one Suburu was charging from the front and Tea was was going to attack Nanoha from behind while Suburu kept her busy by blocking. Or so they thought.

Tea tried to play the ends justify the means card. After Nanoha had her line about what was the use of teaching them proper if they were just going to do what they wanted anyway. And was she wasting her time.

Tea wasn't listening to reason, so Nanoha used training rounds (if they had been normal, Tea would have gotten a lot more then KO with two shots) to put her down. She did it twice so that they both would get the point.

I digress. She really shouldn't be here, and neither should Reimu. But this is fanart. >.>

For those who don't like to read much: Nanoha isn't a yandere, she's just fucking brutal when she needs to be.
She's about as yandere as Kurosaki Ichigo.
