I hate to be the party pooper here but... I would just like to make it clear that humans lack the physical structure to pounce like a feline or a canine would, we are two legged animals, not four legged.

regardless, this picture is what you would call cute, even if it lacks understanding of the human anatomy.

sorry anon2 but I'm pretty sure most people can pose like that...

@Anon3

I never said they couldn't pose like that :p

just that the pouncing movement is impossible from that position for us humans, our gastrocnemeus and our soleus muscles provide the support and drive for our leg movement, while our leg and foot structure aren't made for pouncing or running on all fours as a cat would, a cat has longer and more angled feet especially it's hind legs.

Humans can pose as a cat would before it's pounce, but if an attempt were to be made from that 'position' they'd fall face flat, if a human were to try and pounce, it would be more frog like I believe... position wise.

Posing = yes
Pouncing like a cat = no

Also the human skull has no support for ears on top of our heads (nor do we have the aforementioned ears).
Furthermore the small mouth, enlarged eyes and the lack of a nose would indicate some pretty severe damage / congenital defects to the face.
Plus the head is disproportionately large, even most newborns don't have heads this large in proportion to the body.

Oh, I forgot the opening tag?? Oops.

In anime anything is possible, and as such anime catgirls ARE capable of pouncing (and of jumping on a 2-story building's roof in one go, and slicing through a wall, and so on)

So while I would like to apploud your effort at educating the masses, the 1st post (and to an extent the second post) are poorly worded, and come across as if you expect anime to conform to reality.

@anon5

well played. most people find reality boring, which is why there is anime and such.
