You know youre right. I forget that shes not African just head of the African division of Tricell.

"Gionne" sounds more Italian or Spanish (the latter nationality would also fit with the origin of Las Plagas: Excella may have worked on it in Spain after the events of RE4 before moving to Africa). "Excella" is a ridicolous name in either language, however.
