Anyone who pays close enough attention would catch the hint that Strength is Yuu.
Think about it: *SPOILER ALERT*
Mato looks like Black Rock Shooter.
Yomi looks like Dead Master.
Yuu herself holds a strong resemblance to Strength.
Mato becoming friends with Yuu through association with the Basket Ball club increases the rift between Mato and Yomi, which started when they were split up in the beginning of the second year. This leads to Yomi becoming Dead Master and inevitably Mato becoming BRS. Strength is there as well, but only really an observer unlike the rest who were involved in combat. And at the end of the OVA, you see Yuu experiencing the same kind of rift (which was fairly obvious actually) that Yomi was experiencing.
Those facts alone were strong enough to tell you that Yuu is Strength, especially since the OVA ends showing how Mato becomes BRS. I personally found Black Gold Saw was the one lacking in point, because you never learn how the fight started between her and BRS, nor do we learn how it ended (Only that there was a possibility that BRS won despite being run through by that huge ass sword).
