...since when the hell was their handle "jairou"? Wasn't it, like, Zil or something? Zero? Did it start with an "X"...? It was definitely something else.

-Xil-, or XiL was his handle a long time ago (we are talking 2012 and earlier) when he posted artwork on a Korean blogging platform called Egloos. This blog went down somewhere between July 2012 and Aug 2015. Archive.org has a big gap in the timeline.
The first mention of his Pixiv dates back to 2011 which operated under the name XiL as well, but was changed over to ジャイロウ (which romanizes into Jairou) in the beginning of 2013. Fun sidenote: His old blog was called "rugal1b" which also happens to be the username of a Gelbooru user that has uploaded two Jairou posts in 2013 that source back to his Pixiv, so those might have been uploaded by himself.
Around 2014 we find the first instance of his Tumblr page under the name Xyairou where he uploaded uncensored art. This one was of course killed in the big Twitter NSFW exodus of 2018. This is also the time that the new name Jairou pops up in the Danbooru database for the first time. Danbooru has only recently aliased the Xil tag to Jairou (January 2022) and these changes seem to have propagated to Gelbooru now, so in that regard this change has been quite overdue.
His various Twitter accounts (JairouMK2, jairoumk3, jairoumk4) Pawoo, and Fanbox have all carried this name, so we can say that his name has pretty much been Jairou since 2018.
Pochi is the name of one of his characters who stars in a couple of (very recommended) doujins (gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=7599032)

Mama was confused and startled, but Sister Loli gave me a look. I think she's on to me.
Anyway, yeah, I suddenly remembered and came back here to report -I didn't know any of that regarding their username and whatnot, super informative, thanks bunches!
