Skull Kids are those children that walk through the forest without Deku's blessing. But it is also mentioned that non-Kokiri who enter the forest become Stalfos if they get lost and give up all hope of escaping. However, it's interesting to note the existence of Stalchildren, as well of the lack of both Stalchildren, Stalfos, and other -fos enemies in the forest.
