About the whole "Sue's hair color could have come from Lyn" thing. The same thing could be said for just about almost any Sacaean, let alone Rath. On the other hand, if Sue's mother doesn't actually turn out to be a Sacaean that doesn't have green hair, let alone Lyndis, then Sue could have gotten it from Rath instead, and it would be like saying "Lilina's hair color could have come from Farina" even though that pairing isn't hinted at much in the game either. (However, going by the OA, Sue's hair color almost looks black rather than green.)
Either way, hair color coming from the mother or not. I just don't think Rath X Lyn would work out. Even when I'm not taking into account that a different Lyn pairing is hinted at in the game. I don't think Lyn and Rath synergize well for a romantic relationship. Synergizing well for a friendship maybe, but not a romantic relationship.

It's not 100% canon unless if the creators say it is. (They haven't, last I checked.) And again, it's not heavily implied. (They don't even interact with each other aside from two chapters and support conversations.) Not even in Hector's story.
