Nah... Rebuild made it look more gory. We got to see the EVA-01 rip the innards out and throw them against buildings, just because of the Dummy System.

anom 538288, you can get all that from the rebuild series, little to no character development, plenty of fan service, cgi bullshit and plenty of mindless gore...instead of a gripping storyline, suspense and amazing character development that the original series has

Is anybody else seeing a weird after image on Eva 01 while it's winding the punch? Like, it looks like white lines, perhaps used to draft the animation or whatever. I found them by just gawking at the upper-left quarter of the gif, not focusing on anything in particular... they only last for a few milliseconds, but they're there.
