It's an extremely dumb forced meme from 4chan (there aren't many that AREN'T dumb these days) which was originally a picture of this preppy guy pointing to the right while looking to the left; you post "Check out my doubles" in the text and hope that the last two numbers of your post number match (hence "doubles"). Even for a forced meme it's very unfunny and irritating as it's just a crappy rip-off of calling your post number before you post it (less impressive too since you only have to get two digits correct).

Nobody thinks that doubles are funny as it is, the funny part is that everyone seems to get trolled by people using it. Conclusively, the people that are mad about doubles-spam are the ones enabling it.
