Yashainu, if you think this is sick, you should see what they did to accused Witches a few hundred years ago.
Some where hanged, others...burned Alive at the stake. Other's where dunked underwater until they drowned...
The logic was...if you burned (And died), you were innocent of being a witch...same with the drowning thing...if you drowned, you were innocent. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I wouldn't put it past them if they drawn and quartered them too, at some point.
So there are many things much, much sicker then whats going on here...when concerning what was done to "witches" in Real Life.
Thankfully, like you said, it won't happen much irl anymore.

It still happens in some places of Africa. Those who aren't Christians are burnt. I remember seeing this video on YouTube (long since removed) where the family being burnt are kicked back in the fire when they tried to escape. People were chucking stones at them too.
I guess that's what happens when you donate money to religious organizations to give them aid. They give them aid and try to brainwash them.
