- Look at the game version on the bottom of the picture. This was drawn before the Burning Crusade and Draenei came around.

I thought about that to. One possible explanation could be that the Blood Elves existed prior to the Burning Crusade, in the form of high elves, in the Warcraft games. Another would be that they're harder to draw :S
