「４」is used here as a substitute for "shi" sounds like「し」and 「シ」, a reference to how the number 4 often represents death in East-Asian cultures (「４」is also pronounced "shi", just like 「死」which means "death"). I put this here in the comments because I found that putting it as a translation note in the comic was distracting and ruined the humor.
