They're probably not doing it in order to preserve our race.

Think about it. If everyone had their own personal sex robot, nobody would be having sex with other humans, thus no more new babies being born, and we'd soon all die out.

Sperm banks would still exist. Of course, the robots could also catch and retain the sperm as well. Then we could have surrogate mothers give birth to the remaining kids.

Less people that way for sure, but personally I'd much rather live in a world without overpopulation.
