RX-78-2 is not the same as the GN-000 A.C.D. Just because their design is very similar and their pilot has the same Japanese Seiyuu, doesn't mean they're the same.

Actually its the zaku that started it all which force the EF to secretly build the gundams, and to top it all up the gundam unit that Amuro piloted in the show is only Unit-2 of the 8th or 7th RX-78 gundams built during the OYW.

Same designer, same armaments, same voice actor. The 0 Gundam is the RX-78 in everything but series only. It even has the title of the first gundam ever produced.

They're not the same.

RX-78-1 is the first gundam ever produced in the UC timeline.

That and the 0 Gundam has a rather ugly torso section when compared to the RX-78-2.
