And even then this scene was an exageration made specifically to appease all the people who complained that she was too weak/useless in part1.

During the part when Karui/Omoi (Bee's students) approach Naruto to interrogate him about Sasuke, Naruto actually fights off both of them with pure Taijutsu (and in base form) while Sakura tries to join in and gets kicked away in 1 second...so Naruto has to create a clone to save her.

So yeah, this fighting-scene was an exageration because her actual Taijutsu skills suck. Her punches are strong, but none of that matters if you're slow as fuck and simply suck at Taijutsu. And she does. Hard.

It shows that she at least has a bit of bad ass in her. If she was like that all the time though, it may have drastically changed the length of the show. If she would have sucked it up and just punched Sasuke in the spine, he would be FAR less threatening.

It was explicitly stated from the beginning that while Sakura wasn't the most powerful of the three mains, she was the most skilled. As a kid she already knew advanced chakra techniques while the others were just learning the basics.

The problem was that despite being so skilled and knowledgable she never DID anything, and when the othera started getting super awesome forbidden techniques, meta-human powers, and demonic shit she just kept on using plain old chakra and kunai.

Anon3 with the nice burn! He's right, Sakura did nothing but fuel her punches with Chakra while Chiyo is the one that did all the ninja moves that let her hit the puppets.
Sakura is just plain useless, even Hinata is better than her and she fucking faints every time Naruto is mentioned.
