I think this pic is showing the death sequence... She's all outside and whatnot, exposed to whatever deadly elements there are outside of her suit. Then again, nothing looks broken. :\

This is not a death panel in the death panel samus is thrust entirely out of her suit when it explodes
Also WHY IS SHE NOT IN HER POWER SUIT she has to wear it to control her armor
