I guess Mew Mew Power's Ichigo didn't make the cut? Shame.

I'm sorry, I said Mew Mew Power, there's no such thing, I obviously meant Tokyo Mew Mew. Mew Mew Power indeed.

@timmyG

Huh, unimportant 'cause they have few posts per character/series? Well, while that's an incredibly shallow way to go about analyzing those characters, consider this and maybe their influence will better resonate with you and those who think the # of posts determine empirical value:

-Second from left, with curly hair: Sally the Witch A.K.A. Mahoutukai Sally, original series premiered in 1966 with the first 18 episodes premiering in black and white out of about 108 episodes total(for the '66 series). First magical girl show ever; a multi genre show with many of the modern tropes present: cute animal sidekicks, "accidentally" coming across the real world, main heroine's magical powers kept a secret, learning about love, coming of age, etc.

Second from right, with pigtails: Kagami Atsuko, Himitu no Akkochan. First magical girl ever conceived; with the manga being originally published in 1962 and the first anime series following in 1969. She had a magical make-up mirror that allowed her to change shape, form, and appearance. And so, arguably, she was a very non-traditional magical girl with a non-traditional means of magical transformation/power, what with most of the later girls being based on traditional folklores or legends (i.e. witches, mikos, diviners, princesses, sorceresses) despite being the first.
