Actually, I like this Belldandy more than the canon one. The Canon Belldandy always gives me this impression of deep hypocrisy. She's a goddess, for fuck's sake. Way older than dirt, if well preserved, yet behaves like a child... it just doesn't work that way.
It was a way to give an idea of innocence, but the plot fails spectacularly. How can someone THAT old (she's a Norse goddess... 15 centuries old at the very least... even older easier than younger), coming from THAT culture, to whom is given THAT duty, who is, in addiction, linked to a supercomputer that runs various realities... how can someone like that really be like the manga displays? It comes out as a mask.
The Belldandy in these images comes out more credible, more concrete, if still quite a slut, than the one that one can read on the manga's pages. Cannot say if Verdandi of the myths was like this or not, but SURE AS HELL couldn't be like the Belldandy of the manga. :P
