She kinda had a change of heart when Cattleya was sealed in crystal by Aldra, and she had to take care of Rana until Reina defeated Aldra. During that time, she was also severely weakened because she'd promised Rana that she wouldn't feed on souls while he was around her. So yeah. Airi wasn't ALL bad.
