One thing I could never figure out in the show because I don't think they mentioned it much, was Videl adopted by Hercule or did he knock up a Saiyan and never knew about it, because couldn't Videl fly and fight as well.

well i don't think her mother was a saiyan but she must have gotten her strength from her mother cause hercule is a pussy other than that she always was pretty strong gohan just taught her to fly and made her stronger by sparring with her he also taught her how to focus her energy into different energy attacks a little bit that's all i know about it tho

videl did get her power from hercule remember hercule is poweful by regular human standerds she just got alot stronger due to gohans training don't just assume hercule is weak because of his compareson to the z fighters

Anon1, 2, 3 and 4. Fun fact and the answer to your questions. Over the years after the tournament and the defeat of Kid Buu, Videl and Gohan had actually been training. There was a deleted episode of Gohan teaching Videl after the ending, but they never aired it because it made no sense.
