From a semi-realistic standpoint- I'd say the outermost layer of her shell is translucent, and that there are cells in the layer underneath that can change colour in accordance to programmed emotions of fear, embarrassment, flustered, etc.

that certainly gives more of a realistic point than i had. though i was just in the very tired mindset and thought that they were just in the picture with paint on. simply put, looked like a model picture where they need make-up for the effects because of the tiredness. meh, still a good picture either way

As she's a robot, she doesn't need any clothing, so she used to walk around "naked". So, wearing clothes for her is the same as for humans to get naked. Or maybe she just installed a program that allows her to blush when she acts somewhat erotic.
