They should not, lest the old grey monkey with the wicked grin sanctify their souls with wicked pleasure only he can verify. The old monkey has not forgotten the deep magic. The deep, ancient magic that was created long ago when the world was new and other stars on the world shone through.

A demon is not a thing to be summoned and tossed away easily. It remembers. It remembers you, and it remembers the whole circumstance that led to its transience. Those who trespass on others are condemned to a lifetime in boiling water it is said, but those who make others trespass on others are condemned to a lifetime in boiling oil.

A demon does not leave its plane of existence for a holiday of fruity drinks, one night stands and sand between it's toes. It requires purpose, and when that purpose is met it requires payment, and if neither of those fulfilled it can get quite pissed.

So if you are considering to call for help from those other planes, you would do well to remember the words of Tatterdemalion.
