Well, it's not like her husband is around to satisfy her all the time, and her son wasn't old enough to for half the series. Plus if you didn't see all the incest references in the DB series you had to be blind, how can Goku be gone for 7 years but have a 5yo son? Answer: he doesn't, it's obviously Gohans.

Fact:Goten is the second son of Chi-Chi and Goku, and younger brother to Gohan. Goten is born nine months after the defeat of Cell in the Cell Games Saga, and had not met his father Goku until he reached the age of seven.

Goten is Gohans brother . In numerous eposides Goten referers to Gohan as brother or big brother.

Probably stems back to that old Kamehasutra comic years ago where Gohan scored with Chi-chi after the Cell Games, thus giving us Goten later on.
