Hell no; why would they remake it? The only reason they remade the other games were to allow people to get all the Pokemon. There aren't any backwards compatibility issues with any current games, so there's no reason to remake them.

Yes, it would be pointless in terms of gameplay mechanics, but games are all about the money nowadays, remakes are minimum work for maximum profit, particularly with games like pokemon.

I fully expect nintendo to do it, but probably a couple of years after the inevitable gray version.

...and ruby's design is pretty much a complete ripoff of diamond's platinum getup. It's well drawn to be sure, but the designs just aren't very good.

To people saying there is no point in making remakes: Black & White are not compatible with old items, making Pokemon like Latios and Latias lose their signature item.

Also transferring from Gen III brings the same issue that made FireRed & LeafGreen and HeartGold & SoulSilver possible: Too complicated, requires two DS, one of them old (which are currently not easy to get).
