Anon2, I believe these are the PS generation FF girls. IV, V and VI started out on Nintendo but where later re-released for the PS1.

On the same note, initially the party in I and III were genderless and blank slates, allowing you to make what you will of them.

What do you mean why not Penelo? You must have never played XII b/c Penelo played no part what so ever to the story. You could have easily written her out of the game w/o consequence. I can't even think of a sub-story in the game that required Penelo.

I think the reason they left I-III girls is because the band this picture parodying has only 9 members.

Actually, there are girls in I-III, you know. I has that princess, II has that pirate and the bow girl, I forgot their name, and III has Refia, remake only, though..

I don't even like the band, but this picture is awesome ! Particularly love the expressions.
