I think I know what's happening: While the Parasite worm in glups it's prey and shallow it until it reach the victim's waist. After securing it's hold, it injects it's 'needle' in the womb which has feelers, releasing it organic fluids, numming the body(coma). Afterwards, it sinks it's hidden teeth in for absolute hold (at this point, it is impossible to remove it for the victim's body), then pulls the prey to a safe location away from predators. It's body then begins to fuse it's exterior with the victim while the fluids slowly change the interior to adept to take of a snake. After half a year, the new reborn naga now takes it place. After it's rebirth, it will seek out a mate (if it is at that age). Possible breed: 45% Parasite Worm, 45% Naga 10% human.
