2. Yes. It's more reasonable to obsessively chase after a hot piece of ass rather than a sociopath emo rival.

3. Because Hinata's obviously one of the(if not) hottest girls in the series to them, so obviously he'd compare Sasuko to Hinata in order to show how highly he thinks of Sasuko.
