Terribly dark, yet didn't cross that line into "I'mma get what I want and fuck it all." Which sometimes kinda makes it darker depending on the situation, kinda like this one where since nothing happened you get to see what the true problem is.
Most artist go for the immediate mind-break in this situation. Haha when I read this I start thinking of quick mind-breaks as a writers cop-out. Or Creator rather. When you add stuff like this BEFORE HAND then when you mind-break it makes a bit more sense because you can somewhat understand why a character would finally just give up and give in.
