Well, to basically abridge it...

Emizel's worried over the facial scar across his nose, so Axel tries to cheer him up by showing how Adell got his scars.

Unfortunately, how he got those scars is a personally sore point for Adell, and he's ready to kill. Note that Rozalin is holding him back from sending Axel to his grave.

I totally never thought about her ramming him with her horns. I always figured he was a little kid and she grabbed his face all child-molesterly like and dug her thumbnails into his cheeks.
