No, well, in the original light novel, Yukimura is revealed to be female in the latter volumes, so it's okay, just anime didn't go that far.

I agree, Anon #1042606, they need to at least go back and make an ova or something that at least shows the events after the big reveal for those who don't do enough research/reading.

Do your research, in the light novel (yes you can find translated versions online) there is a scene where everyone goes to a public bath and there it is revealed that yukimura is a girl.

The wikipedia entry even specifically states that yukimura is a girl
