He doesn't, actually. Like, almost never. I think it's actually happened once and then implied, maybe, three times after that?

It's pretty much always left open whether or not he ends up with anyone.

But Ocarina of Time makes it so that it makes no sense for him to not end up with Malon.

Since when does OoT make it so that it makes no sense for him to not end up with Malon?

I've played that game to completion I don't know how many times and never saw anything of the sort, but maybe that's because I don't wear shipping goggles for any pairings at all.

Although, I will agree that it is usually pretty open-ended as to whether or not Link ends up with anyone at all.

He's a rancher in TP, presumably the game following OoT

That's true, but it doesn't really provide any evidence supporting the pairing, since there's no Malon in TP.

But really, with pairings, it's whatever floats your boat, I guess.

to anon 3: actually, TP follows OoT in only one of THREE timeline branches. yes, three. there's adult hero of time, kid hero of time, and fall of the hero of time. adult link branch, and kid link branch, self-explanatory. fall of the hero of time, well, its based on the 'what if' scenario of Link losing to ganondorf in the final battle of OoT.

the first half the timeline goes Skyward sword, minish cap, four swords, then OOT.

from there, it splits. fall of hyrule goes as follows: Link to the Past, oracle duo, Link's awakening, Z1, Z2. child victory path: Majora's mask, Twilight Princess, Four Swords Adventures. then adult victory path: wind waker, phantom hourglass, spirit tracks.

inb4thatsnottheofficialtimeline.

yeah, it really is the official timeline. it. really. is. *sunglasses* DEAL WITH IT.

you're all nerds. TP link is a different link anyway so nothing is implied. Hell the games take place 100 years apart

alright. heres the straight shit order thing. yeah im a nerd, but your an asshole, you clicked the pic anyways, so shut the fuck up. the order is this: skyward sword, zelda 1, zelda 2, ocarina of time. then it splits. one way goes to majora's mask, then twilight princess. the other one goes wind waker, phantom hourglass, then spirit tracks. also, anon 5, conrad?
shut the fuck up. i've been playing these games most of my life.

Acutally Anon #5. That is wrong. There are only 2 branches to the timeline in Ocarina of Time because how can there be three if Link defeated Gannondorf and he was sealed away then returned to his childhood, that leaves no time for Gannondorf to kill Link because Wind Waker said that the hero did not appear when the people of Hyrule appealed to the gods for the hero to show, that's because he was sent back to his childhood. And Anon #6, wrong order. Skyward Sword-Minish Cap-Ocarina of Time-(Timeline split here for the Adult Link Timeline: Wind Waker-Phantom Hourglass-Spirit Tracks)Majora's Mask-Twilight Princess-A Link to the Past-Four Swords-Oracle of Ages/Seasons-Oracle of Seasons/Ages-Link's Awakening-Zelda 1-Zelda 2. There's also that new Zelda title in the works for the 3DS.

All y'all bitching about timelines need to shut up and observe what really matters.

Malon's offering *real* Lon-Lon milk, straight from the source. Go, Link, go!
