Unique? He looked like something from a western Cartoon. Which isn't bad, but I wouldn't call it anymore unique than his current design. And personality wise, he was the same as Mario/Link/Samus at the time.

Think they updated him to increase his ability to appeal to a new audience and to be consistent with his previous Brawl appearance.

Due to that, Myths and Monsters isn't mentioned once in Uprising. Maybe it's sequel could be based on Orcos somehow.
