Looks like some of Link's courage and bravery rubbed off on Malon, and she decided to defend herself and the farm in honor of him saving Lon Lon Ranch from the evil Ingo. :3

See, this is why I think Malon should be playable in Hyrule Warriors. She could fight with her pitchfork, and maybe other bladed-staff weapons.
