まさか、もしや

「んぇ？……へ？なのちゃん？……あれ、ネジは？」
「ネジ？何それ……ゆっこ、ひょっとしてまだ寝ぼけてる？」

「はいはい、ちょっと待っててねー……ゆっこも甘食でいい？」

アニメ本放送の頃、一部で囁かれた一つの仮説。
それは、「『日常』とは、実はゆっこの夢の中の話なのではないか？」というものでありました。

単行本の表紙絵やゲーム付録の花札などで、なぜか徹底して目が隠されているゆっこ(原作)。
失恋したちゃんみおを全力疾走で追いかけながら、息一つ切らしていないゆっこ(アニメ)。
その思わせぶりな感じに、ありえなくはない話だなぁ……と、思っていた頃から暖めていたネタ。いやネタってほどじゃないけど。
　
こちらの世界では、なのはれっきとした人間のようです。
はかせはなのの実の妹で、工作好きな女の子。夏休みの自由工作に「ビスケット２号」と名づけたロボを作ったようです。もちろん動くはずもないハリボテですが。
阪本さんも、もちろんただの猫。

"Muh? ...Huh? Nano-chan? ...Hey, where's your key?"
"Key? What are you talking about? ...Yukko, are you still dreaming?"

"Alright, alright, just wait a second. ...Yukko, would you like a sweet bun too?"
"Meoooow~"
"Yes, yes, you can have one too Sakamoto-san."

This is one of the theories some people were whispering about when the anime was still running.
That is, "Nichijou is really just a dream Yukko's having."

On the paperback cover and in the playing cards that came with the game, Yukko is completely obscured for some reason (in the original).
When she's chasing the heartbroken chan-Mio, she never runs out of breath (in the anime).
I've been nursing this theory ever since that suggestiveness first made me think that it was plausible. Well, it's not really much of a theory though.
　
In this universe, Nano is a full-fledged human.
The Professor is actually Nano's little sister, a little girl who loves building things. For her summer project, she built a robot named "Biscuit 2". Of course it doesn't really move. It's just papier-mâché.
And naturally, Sakamoto-san is just an ordinary cat.

...But even though I drew it, I just can't accept Nano not being a robot... (flop)
