In the first game... I couldn't really identify her hair color well.

Between shitty televisions of the 80s and old graphics, her hair could have been anything from orange, brown, or yellow to me back then depending on who's tv I was using.

Actually, it was still blonde in Twilight Princess. Only her model in Super Smash Bros. Brawl has brown hair.

The official artwork of the original Zelda depicts her with blonde hair. The sprite seems to be more brown though.

So I guess it's up to interpretation.

How about two Zelda's from different games are rarely the same person, so it's very understandable that her hair color varies from game to game.

Why is this even being discussed?

Quit bawling about hair color, Anon. Jesus. Anyone who complains about any new element in Skyward Sword, I feel like slapping accross the head. As if Skyward Sword didn't have ENOUGH repeatative nastalgic elements jammed into it's watery plotline. I happened to like the fresh new Zelda for a temporary alternative. It worked well.
