Clicking "Original Image" seems to alter the resolution and quality but not the filesize.

And of course, saving the image in either case will actually produce the same file.

I do not know what, if any, the limit for images uploaded to gelbooru. But if it is 11mb, it could be taking so long to upload that the server is timing out before it can complete. In which case it just discards it until you try again.
