Exactly how tall was Anthony supposed to be in that abortion? I mean, Samus is supposed to be six feet tall, yet he dwarfs her.

If I'm correct I believe that's a younger Samus.

I saw this art work in MoM, M Other, Bottle Ship, FML.

'Tis from the closing scene of Other M in which she punches Anthony in the arm. She -is-, in fact, roughly 6'3" in this instance. This has to make you question just how large black guys are gonna be in the future. I'd say he's pretty close to 9 feet tall, though o.O

So he's on like some TP Ganondorf shit then. He stood like a Link and a half tall.

that's definitely Samus in the end of Other M. So she's not young or anything, that's how tall she is usually. Even if she is normal girl height, that Black guy would still be abnormally tall.

alvislikespr0n,

I think her height was retconned in Other M. She's probably slightly above average height for a female in that game outside of her suit.

I honestly wish Other M would just fuck off and not be considered in the timeline. Or any canon.

The gameplay ranged from kinda cool action to awkward first person segments and I can't quite fault them for trying to mix the two, but good god the story can just jump off a cliff

Lancun's Let's Play of this game sums up everything about it. Shameless plug for him, but it's fun to watch as someone professionally rips this game a new asshole for every expendable character, story that pretty much takes the story from Metroid Fusion and just adds characters you don't know and don't give a FUCK about only to kill them off in some poor attempt for a more engaging plot device (The Deleter) Which is NEVER resolved and maybe could work despite the fact that after a certain point the game gives up on it and just drops it without any conclusion, which let's the player know they came up with that plot device out of nowhere and couldn't e
think of anything else for it- So they hope the games main plot can fill the gap; but it doesn't fucking work. The events of Metroid Fusion shouldn't be a surprise to Samus or the Galactic Federation. In Fusion, Samus finds out on her own, as always, that the Galactic Federation is researching and working on Bio weapons, yet they confirm this to her and she's surprised. Meanwhile in Metroid: Other M, which takes place after Super Metroid/Metroid 3 and before Metroid Fusion/Metroid 4, she finds out alongside other people that the Galactic Federation is researching and working on Bio weapons. I can forgive her being confused and surprised by that, but it shouldn't be a shock when it's revealed to her in a later game that came out WAY before it. They made Fusion almost irrelevant by ripping the story and saying it was before it. And even then, Fusion is a better game.

When Sakamoto removed the Metroid Prime games and labeled them Non-canon, nothing was gained. Despite ripping the Seeker missiles introduced in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and putting them in Other M. They'd gain more with Other M if they removed Metroid Fusion, but that would actually make sense. Now Sakamoto is pummeled with rocks at every public appearance, and is only still counted amonst Nintendo's staff because he and Miyamoto are friends. Rant over.

@1591139: Sakamoto never said that the Metroid Prime Trilogy was non-canon, though. Only that they don't have much significant impact on the overall story of the other Metroid games. Which is pretty much how side stories typically are.

However, that doesn't stop me from wishing that Other M was thrown into the Canon Discontinuity bin by Nintendo themselves. Especially seeing as 99% of all Metroid fans, including those that are Japanese, hate that game. (However, I would like to see Anthony make in appearance in another Metroid game outside of that one stubborn stain on an otherwise impeccable franchise. He was one of Other M's highest points, IMO.)
