they can't continue it, it would be just too damn expensive and they're worried the fanbase won't cover the costs, especially since the original airing was back in the late 90's so the show isn't fresh in the majority of the public's consciousness. Way I see it somebody would have to be willing to put a lot of their own money into a new season of the berserk anime for it to ever be finished, or some kind of massive collaboration between a bunch of REALLY big names in anime (haha, I can just imagine Mayizaki putting his name on Berserk, that would be hilarious). I'm hoping that maybe their will be some kind of berserk revival once the Mangaka finishes the series, but I'm not holding my breath.
