The problem with that is the subjective nature of art. If you let in western art, someone would start posting deviant art quality simpsons porn and disney fur porn and claim its "good". I think this is a great picture but we simply cant let in a 1% of good western themed art or we will get ran over by the 99% of garbage.

Last time I checked the rules were changed so that western artists are allowed, as long as the subject matter is of Japanese origin.

But Japanese artists are allowed to badly draw subjects of western origin....

I believe that the Japan only policy is a little racist. Just because it's from Japan doesn't make it good, and just because it's western doesn't make it bad.

Anime is a style, not a racial attribute. If you must restrict the Art style to Anime, not the Content to Japanese.

I wish Gelbooru allowed western content and artists if only because as it is now I have to go to multiple sites for my fap fix depending on what I feel like jerking it to at the time. I'd love for this to be a one-stop shop for drawn stuff.

While there probably is a *booru that fits that bill, I doubt it's got anywhere near the amount of content that this place does. And while Rule34 is nice, the fact that they only allow tagging by artist and series and not by image content really sucks.
