This image is from the newest update on his blog, he has been working on it but not as much as he was busy. But he is back working on it, but still no release date sadly.

He said nothing about being busy. Only that he apologizes for being late with the update.
He also mentions that when he made a cut (haircut) something went not as he planned, either with his pc or character models look a little bit different from before
