I can't recall the name (or I might be making shit up from reading too much manga), but I think the one in the back is supposed to be a youkai that kidnaps children who are waiting their ride. She lures them in by offering them a ride to their destination (but obviously doesn't). A Japanese youkai equivalent of "don't get in a car with a stranger."
