Road to Ninja was probably foreshadowing something.
At least once before the manga ends, Madara/Obito will probably use a glimpse of the Infinite Tsukiyomi to tempt Naruto with an alternate reality where his parents never died and he could live a normal, happy life where no one treated him as a monster.
