You know, i wouldnt be too surprised if that really has happend. Remember the manga, Gon has totally lost himself at that time.

Also Nefelpitou is a "man"(as much as an ant could be one). Yeah that was a shock for me as well, but it was stated quite clearly in the original manga. =( I wish:
1 Nef has been a female
2 Survived the "mad gon" encounter and became pro-hunter.

Too bad neither of those can happen.

The fuckers fucked up, claiming she was a man. Both the manga and the anime have outward signs that this is a woman. Some assholes claim this only on the basis that "scientifically" ants are men. Morons, damn it. The whole work is fantasy.
